### Subject: Chemistry

Provide the chemical name or molecular formula of the below AgCl Iron (III) Bromide CH4 Sulfuric Acid

Naming conventions are based on 2 systems, Ionic and Covalent. First you have to identify the system used and then use those rules. AgCl -> metal/halogen follows ionic rules. Sliver Chloride. No metal charge is needed in naming as Ag is one of the exceptions inside the ionic rules Iron (III) Bromide -> metal halogen, follows ionic rules. Iron follows the conventional naming rules where in the charge of the metal is given in parenthesis. That makes this iron +3. Bromide is bromine ( the ide comes from naming the compound) and has a charge of -1. Therefore the formula is FeBr3 CH4 -> carbon based bonding makes this molecular. In a molecular system we name the central atom (carbon) and then provide the number and type of atoms. In this case Carbon tetrahydrogen. However this molecular is actually known almost exclusively by it's common name of Methane. Sulfuric Acid -> acids are exclusively ionic in nature. In this case one must know that the sulfuric refers to a polyatomic ion SO4 which has a charge of -3. That makes the molecular formula SO4H3

### Subject: Physics

A projectile is fired at a 45 degree angle with a speed of 90 m/s. Write this in vector notation.

Vector notation is the components of a scalar. For example if I travel in a vertically up motion at 50 m/s then the notation would be v= 0 x + 50 y where x and y are not variables but rather denote the movement in the x and y direction. To write vector notation for a scalar that is not strictly in one dimension we need the angle relative to the horizon. In this case it's 45 degrees. From there v is given as cos(45)*90 x + sin(45)*90 y. Simplifying the notation becomes v= (90/sqrt(2)) x + (90/sqrt(2)) y

### Subject: Algebra

A rectangular prism has a volume of 8x^3+ 14x^2+x-2 and a height of 2x+1 Write an expression which represents the area of the base of the prism

Volume of a prism can be thought of as the area of the base of the prism times the height. It may help to think as the area of the base as a really thin slice that you then stack h (height) times. Therefore what you need to do is divide the volume by the height to give you the area of the base that looks like this: 2x+1 | 8x^3+14^2+x+2 From there you need to do polynomial long division to give you 4x^2+5x-2 for the area of the base.
